Image to Base64

Encode original image bytes as a copyable data URL and text download.

Files stay on your device

Current limits: 1 input, 20 MiB, safe concurrency 1.

No files selected.

Batch limits are device safety and product limits. Local browser controls cannot prevent deliberate tampering.

    Ready. No file is uploaded.

    How to use this tool

Choose a supported still image and run. Copy the data URL from the summary or download its text file. Base64 is encoding, not encryption.

    Supported input and limits

One supported image up to 5 MiB; normal pixel bounds apply. Result can be about one-third larger. Source metadata is preserved.

    Frequently asked questions

Does Base64 remove GPS or EXIF?

No. It encodes original bytes unchanged. Use the EXIF remover first when metadata should be stripped.

    Are my files uploaded?

No. A local browser worker processes your files. Names and contents are not stored or uploaded.

How long are download links kept?

Generated Blob URLs remain on this page until you clear or leave it. Save outputs before navigating away; the site has no server-side copy.
