Image Compressor

Re-encode an image with explicit format/quality and compare actual byte sizes.

Files stay on your device

Current limits: 1 input, 20 MiB, safe concurrency 1.

No files selected.

Batch limits are device safety and product limits. Local browser controls cannot prevent deliberate tampering.

    Ready. No file is uploaded.

    How to use this tool

Choose an image and JPEG/WebP quality. Run and compare source/output bytes. Lower quality or resize when the result is not smaller.

    Supported input and limits

One still JPEG/PNG/WebP image, up to 20 MiB; 16 megapixels and 8,192 pixels per side. Browser encoding support required. A 60-second worker deadline applies. Re-encoding can change color profiles and pixel appearance. PNG ignores lossy quality; a smaller output is never guaranteed.

    Frequently asked questions

Why did compression make my file bigger?

Source files may already be optimized. The tool reports actual sizes instead of claiming a fixed saving.

    Are my files uploaded?

No. A local browser worker processes your files. Names and contents are not stored or uploaded.

How long are download links kept?

Generated Blob URLs remain on this page until you clear or leave it. Save outputs before navigating away; the site has no server-side copy.
